4 AK-47, Three Pump Action Rifles, 2 Locally Gun Recovered, As Police Arrest 6 Robbers

Police operatives in Lagos have recorded a great feat in the battle against criminals as in recent time, as they recovered a total of nine high sophisticated firearms from just a gang of armed robbers.

The lethal weapons include Four AK -47 rifles with fifty rounds of live ammunition, three Pump Action rifles, two locally made double barrel guns and thirty-four unexpended cartridges .

According to report, the exhibit were recovered from a 6-man armed robbery, who were also arrested.

They were identified as  Olamilekan Rasheed Alabi 29 years, a.k.a Fuck Alhaja, Mondiu Ayoola Odufeso 39 years, a.k.a Osama, Alaba Lukuman Olarenwaju 45 years,  a.k.a Ajeromi, Ahmed Rasak Fadele 55 years, Wasiu Isiaka 49 years and Saka Alao 45 years.

They were alleged to be members of an armed robbery gang that often unleash terror on residents of Ajegunle and Apapa area of the state.

One of the suspects Olamilekan Rasheed Alabi  was said to have been arrested by operatives of the command’s Special Anti Robbery Squad on 16/01/2019, at about 9.00pm during a robbery attack in the same area.

 The Commissioner of Police Edgal Imohimi while parading the suspects, said Olamilekan led detectives to their hideout at Ijoko area of Sango, Ogun State, where other members of the gang were arrested.

His words, ” Following reports and intelligence received that some gang of dare devil armed robbers often visit and unleash terror on the residents of Ajegunle and Apapa areas of the state, the Command’s Tactical Operations Unit, quickly put in place strategies to arrest the hoodlums whenever they sneak into Ajegunle for their usual operations.

On the 16/01/2019, at about 2300hrs, the gang gathered for their usual operation but this time, they were unlucky as a team of the Command’s SARS Operatives arrested one of them, named Olamilekan Rasheed Alabi ‘m’ 29 years old who led the policemen to their hideout at Ijoko area of Sango, Ogun State, where five(5) members of the gang were arrested. They gave their names as:

1. Olamilekan Rasheed Alabi ‘m’ 29 years a.k.a Fuck  Alhaja

2. Mondiu Ayoola Odufeso ‘m’ 39 years a.k.a Osama

3. Alaba Lukuman Olarenwaju ‘m’ 45 years a.k.a  Ajeromi

4. Ahmed Rasak Fadele ‘m’ 55 years

5. Wasiu Isiaka ‘m’ 49 years

6. Saka Alao ‘m’ 45 years

Exhibits recovered from their hideout include:-

1. Four(4) AK 47 rifles with fifty rounds of live  ammunition

2. Three(3) Pump Action rifles.

3. Two(2) locally made double barrel guns

4. Thirty-four(34) unexpended cartridges .

Investigation is ongoing with a view to arresting fleeing members of the gang” .
