The National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress, Chief Ralph Nwosu, has called on Nigerians, especially the Igbo nation to reject President Mohammadu Buhari and all the political parties supporting his re-election bid.
Nwosu, who made the call, said the country must be rescued from what he described as tyranny and most oppressive government in the history of Nigeria, adding that ADC was collaborating with about 61 political parties to ensure that the tyrant was removed from the Aso Rock Villa.
The ADC national chairman spoke in Awka recently during the unveiling of the party’s candidates for the 2019 general election.
“We can’t build a country with somebody like Buhari in this modern time,” he said.
Rather, he said his party would join other political parties that meant well for the country to support Alhaji Atiku Abubakar for president.
He explained that rather than unite the nation, the APC government was neck-deep in the division, balcanisation and destruction of the polity.
He expressed concern that in spite of the woeful failure of the Buhari administration, it was also unfortunate that the Anambra State government was supporting his re-election to inflict more pain on Nigerians for another four years.
Nwosu also observed that the Buhari administration that some people were backing blatantly rejected appointments of people from the South East into the nation’s Security Council as well as other key
He noted that the forthcoming general election would be a referendum where Nigerians would stamp their feet on the ground and reject outrightly what he termed the authoritarian and dictatorial administration of the incumbent APC-led Federal Government.
