Barrister Imoh Williams and the assaulted artisan, Godwin Abraham
The Akwa Ibom House of Assembly has suspended Barrister Imoh Williams, the Chairman of Abak Local Government Area, over an allegation that he assaulted, Godwin Abraham.
It was gathered that the LG chairman assaulted the artisan despite wing hi money for a work he (artisan) had completed for him.

Condemning the act, the state legislators slammed the chairman with an indefinite suspension pending the outcome of an investigation by the State’s House of Assembly’s committee on local government matters.
Reacting to the incident, the state governor of the state, Udom Emmanuel, said such behaviour is “unacceptable in a civilised society and does not represent our core values”.
