The All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) lost another key member, Chinyelugo Charles Anumonye, Chairman, Ward 3, Onitsha North local government area, Anambra state.

The party had earlier lost its former Anambra state Chairman, Mike Kwentor.

Anumonye reportedly passed away on January 22, 2019 after a brief illness.

According to his wife, Juliana Anumonye, late Anumonye died at the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital (COOUTH), Amaku, Awka. She said the sudden demise of her husband has thrown the family, APGA members and indeed his co-workers into confusion and mourning.

She added that his funeral rites would soon be announced by the family.

Until his death, Chinyelugo Anumonye was Head, Department of Records (HOD) at the COOUTH, Amaku and former HOD Nnamdi Azikiwe Teaching Hospital Nnewi, where he served for many years. He was also Secretary of the prestigious Agbalanze society of Onitsha.

Colleagues to late Anumonye, who described him as hardworking man, said he was at work the same day he died. The party regretted that both deaths occurred at critical times when the state and nation needed their contribution in the next month general elections.
